Paducah Public Schools Updates for March 16 - April 17 Closing
March 30
 Paducah Public Schools to Continue Non-Traditional Instruction and Tornado Takeout Through Spring Break, April 6-10
 
March 26
Students who have paper packets of assignments will turn in their completed assignments and pick up a new packet Friday, March 27. See the news summary below for bus schedules and specific instructions. 
 
March 20
In keeping with Governor Beshear’s recommendation that all Kentucky Schools stop in-person instruction, Paducah Public Schools Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Days will be extended through Friday, April 17, 2020. This closure is a proactive approach to limit exposure to COVID-19 within our community.
 
Here is the schedule for the coming weeks:
March 23 – March 27 NTI Days
March 30 – April 3 NTI Days
April 6 - April 10  NTI Days
April 13 – April 17 NTI Days

As a school district, we are prepared to provide continuity of services for both learning and nutrition. Teachers will be providing instructional services using Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI). Our food service staff will continue preparing meals for delivery according to the schedule that is already in place.

Paper packets will be delivered to students Wednesday, March 18 at the building where they attend schools. Online students will not receive paper packets. For a complete list of instructions and bus stops, see the link in the news summary below.

Paducah Public Schools will offer takeout meal delivery beginning Monday, March 16.

Beginning Tuesday, March 17, until further notice – buses will be at all stops from 10:30 - 11:00 AM.

All sites will serve breakfast and lunch. See the news summary below for a link to a list of Tornado Takeout stops.

Paducah Middle Academic team members Reese Butler and Meg Hancock were ranked 11th in the state in their competitions at the State Governor's Cup. Butler was 11th in the Mathematics written assessment. Hancock was 11th in composition. More +

The Paducah Middle academic team was regional runner-up at the Region 1 Governor's Cup Academic Competition held on February 4, scoring 25 points to Calloway County's 30 in the overall standings. More +

The Paducah Middle School Academic Team won the District Governor's Cup Competition held January 21 at Heath Middle School. Paducah Middle has been district champion in three of the past four years. More +

Individual Testers Shine At State Academic Meet

Congratulations to Erin Burba, Reese Butler, and Meg Hancock on their strong scores in individual tests at State Governor's Cup academic competition. Erin was 15th in Science, Reese was 13th in Math, and Meg was 15th in Arts and Humanities out of 650 students state-wide who took the tests. More +

Paducah Middle brought home the first place overall trophy from the District Governor's Cup competition held at St. Mary Saturday, January 23. Team members advanced to Regional competition in every area. The Quick Recall team, coached by Rhonda Holt, advanced with a first place finish. The Future Problem Solving team, coached by MaeBeth Harbison, advanced with a second place finish. The sixth grade academic team and coach Cindy Glisson carried their undefeated season into the South Livingston Showcase on December 6, where they continued their winning streak and came in first in Quick Recall competition among six other area schools. Six students placed in individual written assessments, producing a first place overall finish for Paducah Middle School. More +

The Paducah Middle Academic Team swept Ballard and Carlisle Tuesday. The 7th/8th grade teams dominated with four very strong wins and great team play. The sixth grade team pulled through in both matches, remaining undefeated. Our middle school record is now 16-2. Way to go! More +

Burba, Butler, Compete In State Governor's Cup Competition

Congratulations to Lilly Burba and Miles Butler for representing Paducah Middle at the State Governor's Cup Competition. Approximately 120 seventh and eighth grade students from across the state competed in each area of written assessment. Lilly Burba tied for 12th place in Language Arts and Miles Butler tied for 53rd in Math. These are outstanding results as seventh graders, and we look forward to watching them compete next season.
