Paducah Public Schools Updates for March 16 - April 17 Closing
March 30
 Paducah Public Schools to Continue Non-Traditional Instruction and Tornado Takeout Through Spring Break, April 6-10
March 26
Students who have paper packets of assignments will turn in their completed assignments and pick up a new packet Friday, March 27. See the news summary below for bus schedules and specific instructions. 
March 20
In keeping with Governor Beshear’s recommendation that all Kentucky Schools stop in-person instruction, Paducah Public Schools Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Days will be extended through Friday, April 17, 2020. This closure is a proactive approach to limit exposure to COVID-19 within our community.
Here is the schedule for the coming weeks:
March 23 – March 27 NTI Days
March 30 – April 3 NTI Days
April 6 - April 10  NTI Days
April 13 – April 17 NTI Days

As a school district, we are prepared to provide continuity of services for both learning and nutrition. Teachers will be providing instructional services using Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI). Our food service staff will continue preparing meals for delivery according to the schedule that is already in place.

March 17
Paper packets will be delivered to students Wednesday, March 18 at the building where they attend schools. Online students will not receive paper packets. For a complete list of instructions and bus stops, see the link in the news summary below. 
March 14, 2020
Paducah Public Schools will offer takeout meal delivery beginning Monday, March 16.

Beginning Tuesday, March 17, until further notice – buses will be at all stops from 10:30 - 11:00 AM.

All sites will serve breakfast and lunch. See the news summary below for a link to a list of Tornado Takeout stops.

Congratulations to all basketball teams last night, as the 7th grade boys, 8th grade girls, & 8th grade boys all defeated Mayfield on 8th Grade Recognition Night, with the 8th grade girls scoring 40 points and the 8th grade boys coming from behind for the win. More +

7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball Teams Remain Undefeated

Congratulations to both 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams for their wins over North Marshall last night. The 7th grade are now 12-0 for the season. The 8th grade boys pulled out a 64-30 win over the Marshals. Rod Thomas led the scoring attack with 21 points and 6 rebounds, Tyus White and Maurice Cooper also put up 11 points each, Antonio Askew added nine points and 4 rebounds and 2 steals. The Blue Tornado now improves their season record to 14-0. Next game will be Monday at home against Mayfield, which is also 8th Grade Recognition Night. Great job guys! More +

7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball Teams Win Lone Oak Tournament

A special congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade boys’ basketball teams for their electrifying championship wins at this past weekend's Lone Oak Nate's Wish tournament. Both 7th and 8th grade teams took first place as 7th grade cruised past Carlisle, Calloway and host Lone Oak for the championship and 8th grade faced some adversity playing without one of the main stars, due to illness, but he did return and made a great appearance in the championship game, beating Livingston, Caldwell in the semi finals and cruising past Cairo in the championship game. Great job guys and everyone contributed mightily on both teams! More +

Photos of the Day: Faculty vs. 7th Graders Raises Funds for 8th Grade Team

The PMS faculty and staff played the 7th grade boys basketball team on February 14 to raise funds to help the 8th grade team travel to the state tournament. Prior to the game, Rod Thomas received for winning the state level of the Elks Free Throw contest. A banner recognizing the 8th grade boys regional championship was also unveiled. 7th Grade Boys and Girls Basketball Win Final Games in Old Gym

The Paducah Middle School 8th grade girls' basketball team won 32-16 in last night's game against Heath. Kate story led with 16 pts, Sophia Patterson and Mallory Myers each had 7 points, and Breia Mayes had 2 points. Congratulations for winning your last home game!
Congratulations to the 7th grade boys’ basketball team for their victory over Heath last night. This was the last home game ever to be played at the current Paducah Middle School. The 7th grade boys finished the regular season with a 10-1 record and a phenomenal 9-0 record at home. JJ Reed led a balanced scoring drive with 15 points; Tyus White added 13 points and Rod Thomas had 12 points.

The Paducah Middle School 6th grade basketball team participated in the 6th grade basketball league at the Paducah Regional Sportsplex. Eighth Grade Boys' and Girls' Basketball Win at Fulton County

Congratulations to the 8th grade boys' and girls' basketball teams last night in their victories over Fulton County.

The Lady Tornado were very impressive with their tough defense and scoring. Kenya Coleman led the way with 21 points. Meko Buchanan had 9, Karlee Humphrey had 7, and Joya and Jalisa Smith each added a basket.
