Paducah Public Schools Updates for March 16 - April 17 Closing
March 30
 Paducah Public Schools to Continue Non-Traditional Instruction and Tornado Takeout Through Spring Break, April 6-10
March 26
Students who have paper packets of assignments will turn in their completed assignments and pick up a new packet Friday, March 27. See the news summary below for bus schedules and specific instructions. 
March 20
In keeping with Governor Beshear’s recommendation that all Kentucky Schools stop in-person instruction, Paducah Public Schools Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Days will be extended through Friday, April 17, 2020. This closure is a proactive approach to limit exposure to COVID-19 within our community.
Here is the schedule for the coming weeks:
March 23 – March 27 NTI Days
March 30 – April 3 NTI Days
April 6 - April 10  NTI Days
April 13 – April 17 NTI Days

As a school district, we are prepared to provide continuity of services for both learning and nutrition. Teachers will be providing instructional services using Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI). Our food service staff will continue preparing meals for delivery according to the schedule that is already in place.

March 17
Paper packets will be delivered to students Wednesday, March 18 at the building where they attend schools. Online students will not receive paper packets. For a complete list of instructions and bus stops, see the link in the news summary below.

Paducah Public Schools will offer takeout meal delivery beginning Monday, March 16.

Beginning Tuesday, March 17, until further notice – buses will be at all stops from 10:30 - 11:00 AM.

All sites will serve breakfast and lunch. See the news summary below for a link to a list of Tornado Takeout stops.

Lady Tornado 7th Grade Wins Santa Shootout

Congratulations to the Lady Tornado basketball team who began 2010 as they ended 2009 as tournament champions. The Lady Tornado defeated teams from Murray, Calloway, and Sikeston, MO to win the 2009 Santa Shootout at the Plex. To begin 2010 the Paducah Middle School girls joined forces with Marshall County to form a team to participate in the first annual Kentucky Reign New Year's Shootout. The Lady Tornado and Marshalls defeated Marion, IL and Graves County twice to win the Championship. Congrats to all of the Lady Tornado who participated. The 7th grade girls are now 15-4 on the season. More +

Lady Tornado Defeats Cardinals

Congratulations to the 8th grade Girls’ Basketball team on their victory last night versus the Mayfield Cardinals! The Tornado team’s defense held the Cardinals at six points at the halftime buzzer! The Lady Tornado team continued to outscore the Cardinals in the last two quarters with a final score of 37-32.

Tornado Takes Two at Hoptown

The 7th Grade Girls' basketball team rolled into Hopkinsville last night looking to improve their record. It was a hard fought game, with the Lady Tornado pulling away in the end. Aleja Grant led the offense with 8 assists and 4 steals. Karlee Humphrey had 14 points, Alex Kohler 19, Jalisa Smith had 6 points, and 10 rebounds, Joya Smith and Asia Flemons each added a three point basket. The 7th grade girls improve to 9-2. More +

Lady Tornado Takes Win Over Massac

Congratulations to the 7th grade girl’s basketball team who improved their season record to 8-2 with their victory over Massac County last night. The game was close for the first half, but the Tornado defense proved too much in the second half, allowing the Massac girls only 1 field goal.

Congratulations to the 8th grade girls basketball team for their outstanding play last night as they defeated a tough Hopkinsville team. Many of the underclassmen stepped up after playing in tough game prior to the 8th grade game. Meko Buchanon led the Tornado with 18 points. Arius Brown had 16.

Seventh Grade Lady Tornado Beats Heath

Congratulations to the 7th grade girls' basketball team for an outstanding game Tuesday night. The Lady Tornado came out tough as they defeated Heath. The Lady Tornado's suffocating defense was the difference as they allowed only 16 Pirate points, and forced 20 Pirate turnovers. Karlee Humphrey had 12 points for the Tornado, as Joya and Jalisa Smith, each had 10, Alex Kohler added 5, and Keyanna Allen-Woods had 2. Asia Flemons was outstanding on the defensive end, causing 6 Pirate turnovers with 6 rebounds. The Lady Tornado had a complete team effort.

Lady Tornado Battles Massac

Congratulations to the 8th grade ladies as they have won 2 of their last 3. The 8th grade Lady Tornado fought a pesky Massac Crew. Kenya Coleman led the way with 13 points, Meko Buchanon had 4, Keyanna Allen Woods with 3, Jalisa Smith, Andrea Henderson, and Morgan Kauffman each had a basket. The 8th grade ladies will fight Cairo December 18 at home.
