Principal's Welcome

A Welcome From the Principal

Greetings from McNabb Elementary School!

There are many schools that tell you all about their expectations and requirements. There are also schools that list all of their major rewards and accolades. We could do both and be honest in doing so, but we would rather tell you what every child in our school will receive without fail; AN OPPORTUNITY!

We make sure every child that walks through our door receives an opportunity to be great. Each day we say the following quote by Karen Ravn:

"Only as high as I reach can I grow
Only as far as I seek can I go
Only as deep as I look can I see
Only as much as I dream can I be"

We recite this because we want our students to understand their abilities are limitless. Yes, some dreams may take more work, but when the work is put forth, a dream can become a goal, and a goal can become an accomplishment. We want our students to truly have the desire to master every assessment that comes their way. From a reading test to the test that life may put in front of you; we hope to give them the tools to make them amazing, students, amazing citizens, and amazing leaders.
Our staff performs their daily task with the mindset of the cadet maxim:

RISK more than others think is safe,
CARE more than others think is wise,
DREAM more than others think is practical,
EXPECT more than others think is possible.

Because our belief in our students never cease, we do not have to list our expectations or show you a listing of our accomplishments. You see those when you look in to the eyes of our students. Their actions speak so much louder than our words.
