Paducah Tilghman’s Taylor Willis Named Centre Fellows Scholar
Willis is a member of the National Honor Society and the Beta Club. She competes on the varsity academic team, and recently earned the regional runner up title in composition at the Kentucky Association for Academic Competition Kentucky Governor’s Cup regional competition. She represented Paducah Tilghman at the Governor’s Cup state finals. Willis also competes on the PTHS soccer team and PTHS cross country team. She is a volunteer advisor on the Paducah Middle School and Clark Elementary academic teams.
She is the daughter of Julie and Chris Sheffer and Gary Willis.
Paducah Tilghman School Counselor Rebecca Rogers said, “Taylor is a conscientious student who possesses a dedicated work ethic. Her work with younger academic team members speaks to her love of learning, and she has proven herself to be a role model to numerous young children through her volunteer efforts. It’s wonderful that Centre College values and has chosen to reward her commitment to academic excellence.”
