Paducah Public Schools Advance 43 Students To National History Day State Competition
Twenty students from Clark Elementary School will advance to the state competition. Max Tolar and Nathan Franklin (Elementary Group Documentary); Ellie Farley and Erica Wurth (Elementary Group Exhibit); Blain Oliver and Tate Kirchhoff (Elementary Group Performance); Bailey Beyer and Kara Brien, Ja'Niya Hart and Lily Bugg (Elementary Group Website); Veracity Moore (Elementary Individual Documentary); Wells Hancock, Lucy LeBuhn, and Lilly Smith (Elementary Individual Exhibit); Caroline Adkins and Eliza Esper (Elementary Individual Performance); and Ryan Bidwell, Russell Hancock, Whitson McNeill, and H.G. Page (Elementary Individual Website) will compete for state honors. Mrs. Debbie Stewart is the advisor for Clark Elementary's National History Day program.
Two McNabb Elementary School students will advanced to the state level competition in Lexington. Ayonna Wilkins and Myrikal Boyd will compete in the Elementary Group Performance category.
Morgan Elementary School will send five students to the Kentucky History Day / National History Day state competition. Levi Brown, Paige Dennis, Cassidy Minter, Luke Rix, and Sierra Sharp will compete in the Elementary Group Performance category. Mrs. Becky Clark is the advisor for McNabb’s and Morgan’s National History Day program. Mr. Drake Dunnaway is the co-advisor at Morgan Elementary.
Paducah Middle School will be represented at the state contest by seven competitors. Shepherd Esper, Aidan Hahn, and Eli Reuter will move on to the state competition in the Junior Group Exhibit category. Elena Adkins, Liam Black, and Azlyn Goodyke will advance to the state competition in the Junior Group Website category. Tayler Hilton will compete in the Junior Individual Website category. Ms. Triska Powell serves as the advisor for Paducah Middle School’s National History Day Program.
Nice students from Paducah Tilghman High earned regional medals, advancing them to the state competition. Eileen Sember and Shelby Durham have advanced in the Senior Paper competition category. Representing PTHS in the Senior Group Performance category will be duo Olivia Ellison and Coy Merry and team Noah Hollar, Tristyn Perkins, Jospeh Price, Grace Raber, and Austin Yarbrough. Mrs. Ashley Adkins serves as the advisor for Paducah Tilghman's National History Day program.
Students from Paducah Middle School and Paducah Tilghman High School have the opportunity to advance to the National History Day national competition at the University of Maryland in College Park in June.
