Allene Houston Jones Named Principal at Paducah Middle School
“As the new principal at Paducah Middle, I look forward to working with students, parents, staff, and community leaders to advance the vision of academic excellence and cultural diversity, and to promote the character and values of our school,” said Houston Jones.

After graduating from Ballard Memorial High School, Houston Jones earned a B.A. in Elementary Education and an M.A. in Educational Administration from Murray State University.

Houston Jones is currently enrolled in the Curriculum and Instruction PhD program at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois and is also pursuing her School Superintendent Endorsement at Murray State University.

Houston Jones is one of 20 women nationwide chosen to take part in the American Association of School Administrators' (AASA) inaugural Aspiring Women Leaders Program. Members of the group are paired with mentors from the AASA National Women's Leadership Consortium. The consortium includes superintendents, college deans, and the vice president of education policy for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
