Tilghman Interact Embarks on International Service Trip

The trip is sponsored by Starfish Orphan Ministry, a non-profit in Paducah that focuses on local and international missions. Laura Roberts from Starfish will be traveling with the team as their guide.

The team has raised over $5000 through fundraisers, t-shirt sales, and donations to help meet needs in El Salvador. Each student is paying their own way to go on the trip.

While the trip benefits the people of El Salvador, it promises to be a life-changing experience for the group as they better understand the plight of orphaned children and bring awareness of their needs to others. Students will learn that they can make a difference in the world by serving others.

You can keep up with the team daily by going the Starfish Orphan Ministry blog at http://starfishorphanministry.blogspot.com/

The El Salvador team would like to thank everyone who helped support this trip.

Team members include adults Laura Roberts, Steve Rich, Beth Wyant, Hal Ford, Anita Fleenor Ford and students Bryson Brooks, Ashley Rich, Lara Shannon, Brennan Rouse, Christina Alvarez, Andrew Katz, Johntavia Hines, Quinn Atnip, Addie Rogers, Peyton Ford, Maya Robinson, and Madison Robinson.
