MSU Commonwealth Honors Academy Selects Two PTHS Juniors
Loyd is president of the PTHS National Honor Society. He is a member of the Academic team and Mock Trial team at Tilghman. He participates in the Interact Club, Beta Club, and Spanish Club.

Weatherspoon is a member of the PTHS Concert Choir and the National Honor Society. Her poetry was published in the May 2014 edition of the PTHS literary journal, The Blueprint. Katie serves as a volunteer with Project Hope Humane Society, a no-kill animal shelter.

Upon completion of the Academy, students receive six hours of university credit, have the opportunity to take three hours of tuition-free university courses at Murray State University during the subsequent fall and spring semesters and are awarded a four-year, $2,000-per-year housing scholarship to attend Murray State University.
