For the Tornado, a young team that lost most of its sprinters made a surprising run at the championship, finishing second to Mercer County by a scant three points.

The strong team effort was led by Hunter Watkins’ first place finish in the 400 m dash, a first by the 4X200 team, and second place finishes by Travis Myers in the pole vault, the 4X100 team and the 4X200 team.
