Humphrey Named Rotary Scholar of the Month
Paducah Tilghman senior Karlee Humphrey has been selected PTHS Rotary Scholar for the month of February, 2015. The Rotary Club selects scholars from area seniors who demonstrate strong leadership, academic excellence, and service to community.
Rotary scholars will have the opportunity to attend weekly Rotary meetings for the month. At the meetings students will meet members and hear discussions of community-related topics.
Karlee is vice president of the Beta Club, a member of PTHS Choir, National Honor Society, and the Tilghman Bell staff. She is an AP Scholar and attended the Governor’s Scholars Program in 2014. Karlee is on the varsity girl’s softball and basketball teams, and has been playing for the last five years. She has been named MVP several times, and selected to the All-District and All-Region softball and basketball teams. For the past two summers, she has worked at a free basketball camp for elementary girls. Outside of school, she volunteers at the Southland Baptist Temple nursery.
Karlee plans to attend a four-year university, with a major in business. Her parents are David and Danette Humphrey. Congratulations, Karlee!
