Paducah Tilghman Duo Team Wins First Place at WKU 28 Team Tournament

Michael Ellen was a double finalist, earning 4th in Storytelling in addition to the 3rd place in Duo Interpretation with Micheal.

Junior team captain Meg Hancock took 5th overall in impromptu speaking.

Sophomore Landon Rutherford was named Top Novice Broadcaster.

Team captain Palmer Stroup earned two first place finishes in preliminary rounds but did not advance to finals. Also scoring in the top three in a preliminary round was: Kevonte Kilby, Ella Bailey, Claire Kelly, Carter Vaughn, Jack Daniels, Reagen Davidson, Nina Brown, Paco dos Ramedios and Will Denton,

Sophomores Will Denton, and Landon Rutherford, along with freshman Erika Davis earned their official memberships in the National Speech and Debate League honor society.

Meg Hancock earned her Level 2 National Speech and Debate Service Citation.

Overall, the Tighman team placed 8th out of the 28 teams. There were 555 entries from 6 states competing at the tournament. The only other teams from western Kentucky ending in the top half were Calloway County and Murray High Schools who placed 10th and 11th respectively.
