November Board Meeting Hears Continued Input on Grading Scale
Malcolm Malone, a mid-year graduate, received his diploma from PTHS principal Art Davis. Principal Martha Lipscomb said that Malone is enrolled at WKCTC and hopes to earn a degree in social work.

The board continued to ask for feedback on two topics: essential 21st century skills for graduates of PTHS and the current grading scale used by Paducah Public Schools. Under the current grading scale, an A is 94-100, a B is 83-93, a C is 70-82, a D is 62-69, and 61 and below is an F.

Members of the board will continue to receive input from parents and citizens at the remainder of their traveling meetings. December's meeting will be at Clark Elementary. The board will meet at Morgan Elementary on January 12 and at McNabb on February 9.

Action items on the agenda included:
1) A memorandum of understanding between Paducah Public Schools and City of Paducah Parks Services for joint use of agency facilities.
2) Resolution and agreement with the city of Paducah to approve the in lieu of taxes agreement with the city of Paducah.
3) Agreement with the Kentucky Transportation cabinet to use PTHS as a site for the Graduated Liscensing Program.
