PTHS Speech team coach Todd Ross receives National award
PTHS Speech team coach Todd Ross has received the National Speech and Debate Association’s Distinguished Service Award.  Since 1925, only 352 coaches (out of tens of thousands) have earned this remarkable honor.

Under his direction, the PTHS Speech and Debate team has hosted four multi-state speech tournaments and two community-wide Candidates’ Forums. He spearheaded and created the curriculum for the school’s first speech class, and has taught it for the past three years. He has directed and produced several school plays that have been performed at both PTHS and the McCracken County Public Library.

Along with head coach Martha Emmons, Ross has been instrumental in growing and shaping the Tilghman team into one of the top three in the state.
