Six Tilghman Students Selected for Governor's School for the Arts
Governor’s School for the Arts provides hands-on arts opportunities for promising high school sophomores and juniors in nine different arts disciplines: Architecture, Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Instrumental Music, Musical Theater, New Media, Visual Art and Vocal Music. The three week program is hosted by Centre College.

Over 2,000 students auditioned for the program this year at four sites across Kentucky. Approximately 240 students are selected for GSA, an honor which includes: full tuition, room and board to attend the school; the opportunity to learn in a supportive community of distinguished master-teachers; the chance to audition for scholarships before the nation’s top colleges and universities; and participation in the Student Performance Festival at the conclusion of the program.

Bradley Duncan is a member of the Tilghman choir and its mens' a cappella group, Prime Rib. He is a performer and student at Market House Theatre. His parents are Valerie and Vernon Duncan.

Andrew Shannon is a member of PTHS Future Business Leaders of America. He is a performer and student with Market House Theatre. His parents are Kim and David Shannon.

Will Denton is a member of the PTHS jazz band, PTHS choir and its mens' a cappella group, Prime Rib. He is a member of the PTHS soccer team, speech team, mock trial team,and archery team. His parents are Glenn and Heather Denton.

Jose Roberto dos Remedios is a member of the PTHS choir and its mens' a cappella group, Prime Rib. He is a member of the orchestra, speech team, mock trial team, and academic team. His parents are Julie and Robert dos Remedios.

Claire Kelly is member of the PTHS choir and its womens' a cappella group, Concordia. She is a member of the mock trial team, speech team, and academic team. She is a performer and student at Market House Theatre. Her parents are Robin and Keith Kelly.

Michael-Ellen Walden is a member of the PTHS choir and its womens' a cappella group, Concordia. She is a member of the soccer team, speech team, and academic team. She is a performer and student at Market House Theatre. Her parents are Wayne and Kelly Walden.
