NEW POLICY ON SIGNING OUT
Students must remain at school at all times or check out through the Dean’s office. Because of liability issues, guardians must physically come in school to sign their child out of school for the specified time. If for any reason the guardian is unable to come to school to sign the student out, the guardian should call the school to approve the student’s dismissal and then send someone from their student’s emergency contact list to sign the student out. Students leaving campus during the school day without permission will be subject to suspension.

Paducah Tilghman students Chandler Smith and Annie Segebarth will be in Market House Theatre’s upcoming production of The Secret Life of Girls, a play by Linda Daugherty about the tumultuous world of girls’ bullying. The show will run October 1-4.
As the girls struggle to find a friend, their place in the group, and themselves, their attempts to deal with bullying in the form of gossiping, name-calling, rumors, back-biting, cliques and manipulation range from humorous to heart breaking. Based upon interviews with girls on the giving and receiving end of bullying, The Secret Life of Girls also dramatizes how bullying behaviors are facilitated by technologies such as cell phones, e-mail, and instant messaging.
