Principal's Welcome

We have every reason to be proud of our school because of its outstanding reputation in our state and nation. Tilghman students have compiled noteworthy achievements in both their scholastic and extracurricular endeavors for many years. Some from the past years include:

-- Governor's School for the Arts participants selected
-- $4.5 million in scholarships offered to 165 graduates of the Class of 2012
-- U.S. Presidential Scholar’s Program nominee
-- Bronze Congressional Award Winner (second in state’s history)
-- 74 students passed 124 AP tests in 15 subjects
-- Roland piano lab
-- Murray State’s Secondary Teacher of the Year
-- Chamber Choir performed at Carnegie Hall
-- Concert Choir won top award at international Heritage Music Festival
-- Mock Trial one of five district winners in the state
-- National winner in newspaper contest
-- Students in state art show annually
-- Students annually compete in state Governor's Cup
-- Ranked eighth in the state in speech
-- Distinguished Unit Award for NJROTC
