Katz and Wyant Chosen for ACDA Honor Choir
PTHS choir students Elizabeth Katz (l) and Millie Wyant (r) were selected to perform with the American Choral Directors Association Honor Choir at the ACDA Southern Division Conference on March 5-8 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Approximately 200 students from 11 states earned an invitation to join the choir. Those selected were chosen based on a recording of a selected piece submitted to a panel of ACDA judges. The ACDA membership consists of choral directors who represent more than one million singers across the United States. Katz and Wyant are both members of the Paducah Tilghman Choir and the school’s female a cappella group, Concordia. They have performed over 100 times in concerts, recitals, musicals, churches, parties, civic clubs and charity functions.
