Tornado Splits Doubleheader
The Paducah Middle School baseball team split their doubleheader with Reidland Thursday night, winning game one 5-1 and losing the nightcap 3-5.
PMS got a great pitching performance from Isaac Humphrey in game one allowing only two hits and one run. PMS banged out 11 hits, with Reese Butler, Clayton Wilson, and Brenden Yates each getting two hits, while Chris Chumbler, Alex Reeves, and Isaac Humphrey each had one hit. Yates had two RBIs, followed by Butler and Wilson each getting an RBI, and Kolbie Baird getting his first RBI of the year. In the second game, PMS had the tying run in the last inning, but the rally came up short. The Tornado was led by the hot hitting Clayton Wilson, who went 2 for 2, with a run scored and an RBI. Andrew Shannon went 2 for 3, with a run scored, Isaac Humphrey went 1 for 2, with a run scored, and Peyton Haymes was 1 for 1 with an infield single.
