Two Tilghman Seniors Named Semifinalists In Coca Cola Scholars Foundation Program

Criner is an AP Scholar with Distinction and a member of the National Honor Society. She is the captain of the Paducah Tilghman Speech and Debate Team, the girl’s PT Tennis Team, and the Future Problem Solving Team. Through speech she was awarded the National Speech and Debate Degree of Special Distinction and is a member of the KY All-State Speech Team. She is also a member of Mock Trial, Interact Club, PT Ambassadors, Tilghman Tellers, Beta Club, and Academic Team. Criner is currently ranked 1st in the state for Mock Trial. She received the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award in recognition of her commitment to her community. She is a dedicated volunteer to the Yeiser Art Center, the Trinity United Methodist church band, and the Empty Bowls Project. She has served as the merchandise manager for the Paducah Chiefs since 2016. She is a member of the PTHS Honor Wind Ensemble and the Band of Blue Pep Band. Criner is a Paducah Human Rights Commission Intern and Chair of the PHRC Student Intern Youth Involvement Project. She is an alumna of both the Governor’s Scholars Program and Youth LEAD. Criner is the founder of the teen-driven mental health initiative Loqui. She is the daughter of Janie and Andy Criner.

Lambert is an AP Scholar with Distinction and a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, Interact Club, Academic Team, PT Ambassadors, Baptist Health Care Exploring Post 2501, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Future Business Leaders of America. He has played on the Tilghman Golf Team for seven years, the Tennis Team for three years, and the Soccer Team for three years. He received the KHSAA All-State – First Team designation for Tennis and two KHSAA All-State – First Team designations for Soccer. He was chosen to receive the 2019 Varsity Soccer Student Athlete Award and was selected as the School Winner for the Heisman High School Trophy Trust’s Scholarship Program. For the past two years, Lambert has been a Student Intern on the Paducah Human Rights Commission, a member of the Paducah Pathfinders, and a Paducah Bank Teen Ambassador. He has been selected for the Mayor Student Intern

program. He has received two Kentucky Commonwealth Ambassador awards and was selected as the Youth LEAD Teen of the Year. He attended the Kentucky Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs and Kentucky Governor’s Scholar Program. Lambert is the son of Sarah and Jim Lambert.

Both Criner and Lambert have been recognized as a Paducah Bank Teen of the Week this fall.

Kate and Sammy are insightful leaders both in the school and the community. The passion they have demonstrated will continue to reward them as they move forward.”
