Tornado Baseball blasted into a new season this past Saturday with an impressive victory over Ballard County.

Hunter Harmon started the season with an inside the ballpark home-run. Defense was solid with some great plays made by Miles Butler at Short Stop and Justin Blankenship on First Base.

The Tornado suffered a close loss in the last innning to Lone Oak but had an excellent game with some very close plays at the plate. Corey Nance scored a key run in the Lone Oak game to keep it close. Overall the team had a great day of baseball and is looking to be very competitive this year.

We hope to see every out at Brooks Stadium next Saturday, August 22 at 10:00 and 2:00 to see the team take on some more interleague play against some tough teams in Western Kentucky.

Tuesday, August 18, the Tornado play at Masaac High at 4:00 p.m. in which we hope to erase a tough loss from last year. Thanks to all of our fans who showed up to support us on such a hot baseball weekend. Go Tornado!
