Djuan Frye has been chosen to serve as head coach for Paducah Tilghman Cheerleading.

Frye has been involved with cheerleading for 20 years. He worked with the Todd County Central High School cheerleading program as a para-professional and assistant coach from 2017 to 2023. TCCHS was able to attend the UCA National Competition this past season, competing in two divisions. Prior to that, Frye as an instructor with Cheerville Athletics, where he helped students learn how to stunt or tumble, prepare for school tryouts, or improve their skills.

Frye served as an assistant coach at Bowling Green High School from 2010 to 2015. During his tenure, the BGHS cheer squad was KHSAA regional champion and placed in the top three at UCA Nationals.

Frye was a member of the cheerleading team at Western Kentucky University, where he was named Best Tumbler, Best All-Around, and Most Valuable Participant.

"I am ecstatic to embark on this new journey as the Head Cheer Coach for Paducah Tilghman,” Frye said. “With each step forward, I am eager to bring forth my passion and enthusiasm to cultivate a positive and supportive environment for the team. It is not only an honor to guide and mentor young individuals, but it is an opportunity to inspire and ignite each one to reach their unique potential. My heart is filled with excitement and anticipation as we strive to capture the essence of teamwork, unity, and excellence. Let's cheer loud, let's cheer proud!"
