Paducah Tilghman Rotary Students of the Month

Elena Adkins, Liam Black, and Jacob Julian are PTHS Rotary Students of the month for November. The Rotary Club of Paducah invites seniors from area high schools to the club's weekly meetings.  Students are selected monthly and attend each Rotary Club meetings during that month.

Eleana Adkins is a 2023 Governor’s Scholar, recipient of the College Board’s Rural and Small Town Recognition, and an AP Scholar. Elena has participated in the National History Day team that has won their division at state eight times. She is a member of the PTHS Band of Blue, Student Ambassadors, and Academic Team.  

Following graduation, Elena plans to attend either Western Kentucky University or the University of Kentucky, where she plans to pursue studies that will lead to grant writing for a government organization or non-profit.  Her parents are Bill and Ashley Adkins.

Liam Black is a member of the PTHS cross country team that won Region and placed third at State. As a member of the PTHS track team, Liam was the regional champion in the 1600m. He has participated in the PT National History Day team that that was state champion seven times and has been a national qualifier six times. He is a member of the PTHS Student Equity Advisory Council. He has been a member of the KMEA all-state choir five years and is a member of Prime Rib.

After graduation Liam plans to attend Centre College and study either Wildlife Biology or Sports Psychology. His parents are Will and Sarah Black.

Jacob Julian is a 2023 Governor’s Scholar. He placed first on the physics examination at MSU’s Engineering Day. He is a member of the Paducah Chamber of Commerce’s Youth LEAD Class #12. He is a member of Prime Rib, the men’s a cappella group, and the Academic Team.

After graduation Jacob plans to attend the University of Kentucky and pursue an Engineering major. His parents are Dale and Esther Julian.
