Nathan Barnett PTHS Soccer

Nathan Barnett has been hired as head coach for Paducah Tilghman girls soccer.

Barnett has served as assistant coach for Paducah Tilghman girls soccer since 2021, where he worked to develop the Junior Varsity team. During the same time Barnett coached Paducah Middle girls soccer where he successfully increased participation in tryouts for the team.

Coach Barnett was a three-year starter for Campbellsville University soccer. He served as an assistant coach for Madisonville North Hopkins boys soccer for two years, and coached recreational soccer teams in 2020 and 2022.

“We’re pleased to have Coach Barnett step into the head coach’s spot for our girls’ soccer program,” said PTHS Athletic Director Jay Burgett. “His experience in building the Paducah Middle soccer team and the PTHS JV soccer team will be a big asset as we pursue a solid foundation for our program.”

“This is an incredible opportunity, and I am grateful that I will continue to work with the high school soccer team,” Coach Barnett said. “We have a great group of girls returning next season and I look forward to what the future holds for our girls soccer program. My top priorities coming into this role are to focus on skills and tactics with our current roster and to increase our player pool for future Tilghman soccer teams.”
