Jayda Reed Volleyball

Paducah Tilghman High School senior Jayda Reed signed a letter of intent to play volleyball for Spalding University at a signing ceremony at PTHS on April 18.

Reed finished second in the state in blocks for the 2024 season, with an average of 2.01 blocks per game. As a team, Paducah Tilghman finished third in the state with an average of 4.9 blocks per game. Reed was co-captain of the team her junior year and was captain her senior year. She led the team in blocks and kills as a junior and a senior. Reed was named to the All-District volleyball team as a junior and a senior.

“I want to acknowledge Jayda’s commitment and hard work to volleyball,” said PTHS Head Volleyball Coach Gwen Duncan. “Her talent and her contributions speak volumes for the sport here at Paducah Tilghman. It is rare to find someone as talented as Jayda is to also be as coachable as she is.”

Spalding University, located in Louisville, is a member of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and participates in NCAA Division 3 athletics.
