David Davis has been selected as Paducah Tilghman Boys’ Basketball Head Coach.
Davis comes to PTHS from Meridian Community School District (Mounds, Illinois), where he served as Boys’ Basketball Head Coach.
As a student-athlete at Meridian, Davis led the team to a 101-43 record over four varsity seasons, earning multiple regional and sectional titles and finishing as Class 1A State Runner-Up in 2015. Since Davis’s return to Meridian as Head Coach in 2021, he guided the Bobcats to the IHSA Class 1A State Championship game, making him the first in school history to reach the state finals as both a player and a coach. His leadership has earned him four South Egyptian Conference (SEC) Coach of the Year honors and three Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) Coach of the Year awards.
