Morgan Elementary selects Kendrick “Drake” Dunnaway to serve as assistant principal for the 2025-26 school year. He comes to Morgan from Clark Elementary where he was assistant principal for two years.
This is a return for Dunnaway as he was a social studies teacher at Morgan Elementary School from 2017 to 2023. While at Morgan, he served as teacher representative to the School-Based Decision Making (SBDM) council and was a member of the School Instructional Team, which helps coach peer teachers on teaching strategies.
Dunnaway received his B.S. in Middle School Education from Murray State University. He earned a Teacher Leader M.A. in Education and a Principal (P-12) M.A. in Education from University of the Cumberlands.
“We are excited to welcome Mr. Dunnaway back to Morgan, this time as Assistant Principal,” said Morgan Elementary Principal Tami Snyder. “As a former teacher here, he knows our students, staff, families, and the curriculum very well, making this transition a natural and powerful one. Drake brings not only experience and dedication, but also strong relationships and a true understanding of what makes our school special. We are thrilled to have him step into this leadership role and continue making a positive impact on Paducah Public Schools.”
