Paducah Tilghman High School Wrestling made history at the the KHSAA state wrestling tournament held  in Lexington, KY. Three members of the Tilghman wrestling team became state champions, and the team finished fourth in state. 
Eli Peyton, wrestling in the 138 lb. weight class, became the first state champion
 in PTHS history. Two matches later Malachi Rider, wrestling in the 150 lb. weight class, 
became the second  state champion in school history. Four matches after that
 Uriah Virzi, wrestling in the 215 lb. weight class, became the third state champion for the Blue Tornado. 
Other members helped the team to a strong finish at the state tournament. Jayden 
Frazier finished 3rd, Jack James finished 8th, and Jimmy Mooney finished
 4th in their weight classes. Jayven Williams and Spencer Redwine
fell one match short of the podium, but their points helped propel the 
Tornado Wrestling Team to their highest finish in school history and 
first team trophy.  
"This is a huge step forward for the program," said PTHS Wrestling Head Coach Seth Livingston.  " We are grateful for everyone involved with
Paducah Tilghman Wrestling who has contributed to our success this season!"
