Paducah Tilghman High School Principal Allison Stieg has announced her intention to retire at the end of the 22-23 school year after 31 years in education.  

Mrs. Stieg has been principal at Paducah Tilghman since 2019.  She began her career as a teacher and coach at Ballard Memorial High School and Heath High School before coming to Paducah Tilghman High School in 2002. Stieg taught mathematics and was the varsity girls basketball coach at PTHS from 2002 – 2008.  During her coaching tenure, she led one of her teams to the state final four and was named Region 1 All Purchase Coach of the Year and KABC Coach of the Year.  Stieg was named Dean of Students in 2008, where she served for 11 years.  

“Mrs. Stieg’s passion for each of our students and the tradition of excellence at Paducah Tilghman has been outstanding,” said Superintendent Dr. Donald Shively.  “She has been a courageous leader throughout the pandemic ensuring our students and staff needs have been met. We will miss her greatly and will always be grateful for her service to Paducah Tilghman.”

“I have enjoyed all of my time spent at Paducah Tilghman High School,” said Mrs. Stieg.  “It’s been an honor serving as principal, dean, teacher, and coach.  I will miss the students and the staff more than anything and wish them all the best in carrying on the tradition, pride, and excellence of our school.”
