As part of No Kid Hungry’s continuing effort to ensure all children in Paducah and McCracken County remain nourished and healthy, Paducah Public Schools have received $12,200 in grant funding to help feed more children in the community.

“No child should have to struggle with an empty stomach or stress about when they will eat again. This grant will help reach more kids with the food they need to grow up healthy, educated and strong,” said Erica Olmstead, Field Manager for the No Kid Hungry Campaign.

This grant will allow us to have a positive impact on the lives of our students that will receive meals." said Lynsi Barnhill, Food Service Director for the district. "We are grateful for the ongoing partnership with No Kid Hungry and look forward to continued opportunities to serve."

No Kid Hungry is working to end childhood hunger by helping launch and improve programs that give all kids the healthy food they need to thrive. This is a problem we know how to solve. No Kid Hungry is a campaign of Share Our Strength, an organization committed to ending hunger and poverty.
