Head Start Preschool screening for the 2026-27 school year will be offered on two dates: Thursday, April 30 from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. and Friday, May 1 from 8:15 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 270-444-5780. Join us for the 5th Annual Paducah Storm Watch Step Showcase Saturday, February 7 from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. at Paducah Middle School. Admission for adults is $7. Admission for students is $3. Children 3 and under are free.

The Paducah Storm Watch Step Showcase that was scheduled for Saturday, January 24, at PTHS has been postponed due to inclement weather. We hope to reschedule the showcase soon.

This year’s theme, “Empowering Our Youth to Be Agents of Change,” encouraged students to apply their learning beyond the classroom by addressing real-world civic issues. Jewel’s winning poster depicted an inclusive park designed to welcome all members of the community.
Congratulations to Jewel on this outstanding achievement. We are extremely proud of his creativity, vision, and the excellence with which he represented our school community.

Congratulations to Morgan Elementary educator Destiny Ringstaff, who is the West Kentucky Star Teacher of the Month for December! Destiny received a $75 cash prize and will compete in the Teacher of the Year contest, which will take place at the end of the school year.
