PTHS senior Brayden Wilson signed a track scholarship with Kentucky State University at a signing ceremony held on May 21.
Wilson was state runner-up in the Triple Jump at the Class 2A State Track & Field Championship held in Lexington on May 30, and received 2nd Team All-State honors from KTCCCA. Wilson was also a member of the 2024 Class 3A state championship football team.
“Brayden, pound for pound, is arguably one of the best athletes in this school,” said PTHS Football Head Coach Sean Thompson. “I know he’s going to be successful because of how he was with me- he came to work every day and he never complained. Talent-wise, he was one of the best.”
“Brayden has the will to be successful in life,” said PTHS Track Head Coach Randy Wyatt. “His work ethic is second to none, and because he has that work ethic, he can do whatever he wants to in life.”
