Ceinna Roberts (PTHS Class of ’25) signed a scholarship to play basketball for Shawnee Community College at a signing ceremony held at Paducah Tilghman High School on June 16.
Roberts played power forward and center for Paducah Tilghman Girls Basketball. The team was district runner-up last season and made it to the second round of the regional tournament, finishing 14-14 for the season.
“CC has always been a very loving, very hard-working, very determined young lady,” said former PTHS Girls Basketball Head Coach Stephani Gray, who coached Roberts at PTHS. “She worked hard over the summer and came to us this past season and made a big impact on the team. CC comes from a very athletic family and I have faith that she will do bigger and better things when she goes to Shawnee.”
“I’m super excited to keep the tradition alive of signing the best talent out of Paducah Tilghman,” said SCC Women’s Basketball head coach Kristin Shelby. “All the athletes are well prepared to make an impact at the college level. I expect nothing less from CC and I’m super excited about her future.”
