Paducah Tilghman High School has chosen Taylor Follis to be head coach for baseball.
Coach Follis was born and raised in Germantown, TN, and was a member of the baseball team at Germantown High School. He continued his baseball career playing at Motlow State Community College for two seasons (2010-2012) before transferring to Bethel University in McKenzie, TN, in the Fall of 2012.
Coach Follis has ten years of coaching experience at the high school level, coaching baseball, softball, and football. Follis was an assistant baseball and football coach at Ripley High School from 2015-2016 and the assistant baseball and football coach at Covington High School from 2016-2018. From 2019-2021, he served as an assistant coach for baseball and football at McCracken County High School before taking over the head baseball position at Trigg County High School in 2021. He then coached at the college level at Dyersburg State Community College before coming to Paducah to serve as assistant coach for PTHS baseball.
“We are excited to welcome Taylor Follis as the new head baseball coach,” said PTHS Athletics Director David Dobbins. “Coach Follis brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with a focus on student excellence. He has shown the willingness to work with our student-athletes, parents, coaches, and community partners. We look forward to seeing his vision come together as he moves the baseball program forward.”
