
9th Street Church of Christ will host their annual ACT prep class for students in grades 8-12 on Saturday April 26 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The instructor is Mrs. Kelly Walden, co-owner and lead teacher for ACT Prep. The class is free and lunch will be provided. Please register for the class using the QR code on the flyer. Registration deadline is April 11. We look forward to seeing you!


On Saturday, March 22nd the Paducah Tilghman High School Chess Team placed 6th in the State Team Chess Championship out of 15 other teams from all over the state!
The team ended up with 2.5 out of 4 team points placing 6th after USAT tie breaks were applied. Second year player and freshman Michael Nelson scored 3 out of 4 individual points, third year player and senior Dawson Black (acting team captain) scored 3 out of 4 individual points, first year player and freshman Aiden Hamilton scored 1.5 out of 4 individual points, and eighth year player and junior Preston Goodyke scored 2 out of 4 individual points. First year players and freshman Bailey Heath scored 1 out of 4 points in the alternates section.

Musalem, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and Seema Sheth, Senior Vice President of the Louisville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, visit the Paducah Innovation Hub for a tour and roundtable discussion with industry partners, community leaders, and secondary and post-secondary educators about workforce gaps and strategies for addressing future workforce needs. Dr. Dennis Dickerson, Professor of History Emeritus at Vanderbilt University, will present "William Stuart Nelson: The Origins of the Nonviolence Movement in the United States" on Saturday, March 29th, at 1:00 PM at the Clemens Fine Arts Center, WKCTC campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Dr. Dickerson will explore Nelson’s pivotal role in the civil rights movement. Nelson, who graduated from Lincoln High School, collaborated with Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to advance nonviolent activism and interfaith unity.
In addition to the Saturday lecture, Dr. Dickerson will meet with Paducah Tilghman and McCracken County High School students, on Friday, offering them a unique chance to engage with a scholar of his caliber.

Bullseye! 🎯 Paducah Tilghman archer Emme Haus has hit the mark again! She's qualified for the NASP Kentucky State Tournament for the second year running, showcasing her incredible archery skills.
Haus qualified at the Madison North Hopkins tourney with a shoot of 284 out of 300 and finished second in the girls division out of 232 archers. She currently ranks 127th in the state out of more than 2700 female archers active in competition.
Emme will compete at the the KY NASP state tournament in Louisville on March 14. We're so excited to see her compete at state! Best of luck, Emme! #PTHS #KentuckyNASP #StateQualifier


Paducah Middle is conducting a shoe drive fundraiser through March 7th to raise funds for their year-end Excellence Extravaganza awards program. Paducah Middle will earn funds from Funds2Orgs based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used, and new shoes collected. Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used and new shoes at Paducah Middle School, 342 Lone Oak Road. Donation bins will be placed at the front of Paducah Middle School where shoes can be dropped off.
By donating gently worn, used, and new shoes to Paducah Middle, the shoes will be given a second chance and make a difference in people’s lives around the world.
