The Kentucky High School Athletics Association (KHSAA) honored the golden anniversary of Paducah Tilghman’s 1973 2A state championship football team. Paducah Tilghman (now a Class 4A competitor) was recognized during halftime of the 4A state final game on December 1 at Kroger Field on UK Campus in Lexington.

The PTHS Student Equity Advisory Council invites all parents of PPS students to join us for a student-led Parent Forum Tuesday, December 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The forum will be at the Murray State University Paducah Extension at 4430 Sunset Avenue.

LOCAL PLANNING COMMITTEE
On behalf of the Paducah Independent Board of Education, the Local Planning Committee will convene two orientation meetings for the new District Facilities Plan. The meetings will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, starting at 4:30 PM local time at the Central Office located at 500 South 25th, Paducah KY 42001, room 204. A Public Forum will be held at 6:00 PM local time (same date and location) for the purpose of soliciting public input for the new District Facility Plan.

At last night's Paducah Board of Education meeting we were pleased to honor our Paducah Middle 8th Grade Football State Champions, along with head coach Ben Seig, who was Region One 7th Grade Coach of the Year.
The PTHS Cross Country team, who won region and placed 3rd at the State Class 2A Cross Country Championship, was on hand to be recognized for their standout season.
We were happy to recognize GoTeachKY Ambassadors Dylan Howard and Laura Pratt for their efforts to encourage high school students across the commonwealth to consider education as a career.

Paducah Middle School invites our staff, coaches, football players/parents and cheerleaders/parents to a reception to honor the 8th grade football 2023 state championship. This will take place from 6:00PM-6:45PM in the lobby of the Innovation Hub on Friday, November 17 prior to the PTHS vs. Spencer County playoff game. At halftime of the game we will recognize the 8th grade players and coaches on their state championship run.
The KHSAA will honor the golden anniversary of Tilghman’s 1973 2A state championship team. Paducah Tilghman (now a Class 4A competitor) will be recognized during halftime of the 4A state final game on December 1 with an 8 pm kickoff at Kroger Field on UK Campus in Lexington.
KHSAA invites team members (athletes, coaches, statisticians) to attend this year's championship. They will provide each with two digital complimentary tickets (one for the honoree member and one for their guest).
During the ceremony, team members will receive a commemorative medallion to recognize this accomplishment. RSVP required by Nov. 16 to jay.burgett@paducah.kyschools.us or 270-444-5650.
