A new gate on the north end of McRight Field should be used to access the Chad Gamble tennis courts. Players, coaches and fans should park behind Dinning gym. Enter the temporary gate on the north end of McRight Field, then follow the sidewalk around to the tennis courts. This access will be used until the end of May due to the closure of Otis Dinning and Polk Street.

PT Volleyball will host a one-day volleyball camp for each of our elementary schools. Campers will be introduced to the sport and learn basic skills. The camps will be held at the PTHS gym from 5:00 to 7:00 PM for McNabb on April 19, Clark on April 26 and Morgan on May 3. Fee is $10 payable at the door. See the flyer for more info!

Paducah Middle seventh graders Sam Marcum and Calleigh Oldja are among 20 finalists who have been selected to participate in the Western Kentucky Regional Civics Bee. The competition will take place on April 22 at the Carson Center in Paducah. The civics bee is an initiative by the Civic Trust of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation aimed at encouraging more young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. Paducah Middle students competed in the Murray State Phi Alpha Theta annual History Day competition where regional middle and high schools come to Murray State to compete for prizes in World and U.S. history. These 8th-grade students completed a 150-question examination and took 3rd place in the US History competition and Caroline Adkins finished 2nd place overall.

Paducah Tilghman High School is accepting nominations for the PTHS Hall of Fame. This honor is bestowed on Lincoln High School/ Augusta Tilghman High School/Paducah Tilghman High School graduates to recognize outstanding accomplishments and to provide role models for current students. Criteria include excellence in the individual's chosen career, community service, and overall integrity. The recipient will be recognized at graduation and a portrait with a biography will hang in the Wall of Fame Hallway at Paducah Tilghman. The honor may not be bestowed posthumously. A committee will choose the recipient. The deadline for nominations is March 31, 2023.
