Over the weekend, the golf team competed in the Eagle Invitational at Drake Creek.
The boys placed 3rd overall with a team score of 341. Whitson McNeill led the way with a 77 which earned him a 2nd place finish after winning a scorecard playoff. The rest of the team consisted of Peyton Toon, Evan Hack, and Gray Edwards.
McCall Moore finished 6th overall in the girls’ field of 30 competitors.
The next tournament is Saturday August 26th at the Massac County Invitational.

We’re off to a great beginning with our Fall sports! It’s been exciting to watch our middle school and high school teams compete, and we’re looking forward to Tornado League Football as they play home games this weekend.
As we participate in games over the next few months, we encourage our fans, players, coaches, and officials to set the example for sportsmanship, fair play, and mutual respect in the games we participate in.

For students who still do not have a device, please make sure your parent logs in to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. From there, go to the "School Store" and follow the instructions. Once this happens, Ms. Wyant can issue a laptop to you. You can pick the laptop up at the library or wait for it to be delivered to your classroom after the process is complete.
As the our fall sports seasons begin, remember that tickets to Paducah Tilghman athletic events will be sold exclusively online through GoFan. Since there is limited capacity seating, we recommend pre-purchase of all game tickets.

Paducah Tilghman Football season ticket holders: If you weren’t able to make it last week, there will be another opportunity to pick up your season tickets on Wednesday, August 16th from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., in the lobby of the Innovation Hub (500 South 25th Street). If you're interested in joining the Century Club, you may also sign up during that time as well.

Sadly, we had to cut down one of the old trees on the front lawn of PTHS after it was struck by lightning. About 50 feet up the cutting crew hit a bee hive! They had to call a bee keeper to remove the hive and queen. It was relocated to West Paducah. The bee keeper used a cordless shop vac to capture 80 thousand plus bees and collected over 10 gallons of honey!
