The 8th of August parade that was scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday has been canceled due to inclement weather.
A message from 8th of August parade coordinator Stephanie Gray, to those planning to participate: "In case of inclement weather, the safety of the public is our main concern. Please stay tuned regarding the 8th of August plan of action for tomorrow's parade."

Baptist Health will host a Sports Physical clinic for Paducah Tilghman and Paducah Middle students Tuesday, August 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Tilghman Wrestling Facility next to McRight Field. Please see the attached flyer for more info.

The Tilghman boys golf team competed in the Ballard County Invitational this weekend shooting a 317 and placed 2nd out of 17 teams.
The team score was the lowest total boy's score in 14 years.

The Paducah Tilghman golf team competed in the 2A Regional Tournament at Breckinridge Golf Course in Union County, Kentucky on July 29.
The boys placed first as a team with a score of 332- Juniors Peyton Toon (80) and Whitson McNeill (82) led the way with 8th graders Evan Hack (82), Ford Black (88), and Freshman Gray Edwards (94) rounding out the rest of the team. With the win, the boys earned a spot in the 2A State Championship.
On the girls’ side, Freshman McCall Moore shot an 81 to earn a 2nd place finish and qualify for the 2A State Championship.
The 2A State Championship will be played at Owensboro Country Club on September 11.
