Anne Bidwell Paducah Public Schools

Anne Bidwell has been named Director of Human Resources & Districtwide Communications for Paducah Public Schools. In her new role, Bidwell will direct and implement the district's Human Resources programs and provide administrative leadership for the management of Communications and Community Relations. Her work with the district will begin November 13.

Bidwell comes to Paducah Public Schools from United Way of Western Kentucky, where she has served as Regional Impact Manager since 2018.  As Regional Impact Manager, she was responsible for creating and executing community impact programs and events in seven western Kentucky counties within the social service areas of education, income, and health.  Bidwell directed the recruitment, training and supervising of 200 participants in the Promoting Academics & Leadership in Schools (PALS) mentoring program, along with other large, community-based volunteer initiatives.

Bidwell has been an active volunteer with Paducah Public Schools, serving on the Paducah Middle school-based decision-making council for four years. She served as a PTHS Youth Service Center Advisory Council Member from 2019 to 2023 and has previously served on the Paducah Public Schools Racial Equity Audit Committee and the Paducah Parks Department Master Plan Steering Committee.

“Ms. Bidwell is a highly effective communicator that has a significant network of resources and individuals in this community,” said superintendent Dr. Donald Shively. “She wants what is best for our students, families, and employees. We’ve seen that in the volunteer work that she’s done with our district as a school-based decision-making council member, as a committee member, as a band parent, and her work with United Way’s PALS program. We are excited to add her to our leadership team and look forward to the positive energy and expertise she will bring.”

“I truly love Paducah Public Schools,” Bidwell said. “Success, for me, is seeing all students thrive and their families and communities engage to create positive momentum within our educational community. I’m honored to have the opportunity to be a partner in serving employees and students within the district and the student families and community members who surround and support it.”
